METHODOLOGY
An artist's 10 strongest charting songs form the Core score, with each song adjusted for the artist's billing credit.
Songs beyond the Top 10 continue contributing with diminishing weight, rewarding deep catalogs without letting catalog size dominate.
Song performance is evaluated relative to its chart era so artists from different periods can be compared consistently.
Principal artists receive 100% ranking credit, co-billed artists receive 70%, and featured artists receive 35%. Every credited artist still receives the song in their Chartline catalog.
Chartline Artist Rating is based only on chart performance. It does not use streaming totals, awards, album sales, touring revenue, cultural importance, or subjective judgments.
