Taylor Swift keeps the Billboard Hot 100 crown for the week ending October 17, 2026, as “Patient Zero” spends its second chart week at No. 1. But the biggest changes arrive just below the summit: Drake places three debuts in the Top 20, ADELA breaks into the Top 10, and eight first-week entries join the Top 100.

The top two positions are unchanged from last week. Around them, returning favorites reclaim ground, several newer songs establish fresh peaks, and last week’s other three Swift debuts slide down the chart.

Swift holds the summit; the rest of the Top 5 changes

“Patient Zero” follows its No. 1 debut with another week on top. Ella Langley remains at No. 2 with “Choosin' Texas,” now in its 51st chart week. The pairing leaves the summit steady even as the next three positions change hands.

Stella Lefty rises from No. 6 to No. 3 with “Boston,” while Morgan Wallen moves from No. 7 to No. 4 with “Been By Now.” Both remain one place below their No. 2 peaks. At No. 5, Drake & Don Toliver make the week’s highest debut with “Solar Eclipse.”

Swift still has five songs in the Top 40, although their positions tell a different story from last week’s four-song Top 5 showing. “Babylon” moves from No. 4 to No. 34, “Pink Clouding” falls from No. 5 to No. 38, and “Cleveland!” goes from No. 3 to No. 40. Her older entry “I Knew It, I Knew You” slips from No. 21 to No. 30.

Drake launches three songs into the Top 20

“Solar Eclipse” leads a trio of Drake arrivals. “Quebec” enters at No. 11, followed by “Cold Shoulder,” credited to Drake, Don Toliver & Yebba, at No. 18. Together, the three songs account for three of the week’s eight debuts.

Drake also has the largest climb among songs appearing on both this week’s and last week’s charts. “I'm Spent,” Featuring Loe Shimmy, jumps 31 places from No. 94 to No. 63 in its tenth chart week. “Classic” returns at No. 28, a new peak, after being absent from the October 10 list. It has five total chart weeks, so this is a return rather than a debut.

ADELA reaches the Top 10

ADELA’s “Nicole Kidman” advances from No. 12 to a new peak of No. 9 in its fifth week. It joins “Solar Eclipse” as one of the two songs entering this week’s Top 10 from outside last week’s group.

Elsewhere in the tier, “Dracula” by Tame Impala & JENNIE rebounds from No. 10 to No. 6 in its 54th chart week. Ariana Grande moves from No. 8 to No. 7 with “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” and Olivia Rodrigo advances from No. 9 to No. 8 with “Stupid Song.” “BbY WOW,” by Karol G With Judeline & rusowsky, edges from No. 11 to No. 10.

Fresh peaks for Langley, Fike and Ashe

Langley’s “Loving Life Again” climbs six places to a new high of No. 19 in week 29. Dominic Fike also sets a new peak: his “Babydoll” rises from No. 17 to No. 13 in its 35th week.

Below the Top 40, Ashe delivers the second-largest climb among continuing entries. “Stop The Wedding!” leaps 16 spots from No. 64 to a new peak of No. 48 in week five. Steve Lacy reaches No. 72 with “Nothing,” up five places, while Zach John King makes the same-sized move to No. 74 with “Get To Drinkin'.” Both establish new highs.

There are two distinct songs titled “Babydoll” on this chart. Alongside Fike’s Top 20 entry, Jamie Miller lifts his “Babydoll” from No. 81 to a new peak of No. 77 in week three.

All eight debuts

Beyond Drake’s three Top 20 arrivals, Noah Kahan opens at No. 25 with “Draw You Out.” Miranda Lambert & Ella Langley enter at No. 42 with “Snakeskin Boots.”

Three collaborations round out the debut class: “Storm II” by GENER8ION & Yung Lean at No. 93; “BA” by Quavo & Future at No. 94; and “Why Don't You Say So” by Dexter And The Moonrocks & Avery Anna at No. 98.

The week leaves a clear split: Swift retains the No. 1 song, while Drake supplies the highest new entry and the biggest climb. ADELA’s Top 10 breakthrough and new peaks further down the list give the full October 17 Top 100 plenty of movement beyond the headline.
